Dr. Anand Kumar Pandey is Director & Senior Consultant – Cardiology at Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi. He holds the DM (Cardiology) superspeciality degree from LPS Institute of Cardiology (Kanpur) in 1998 and is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He was awarded member status by the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions and the European Society of Cardiology.
Dr. Pandey has rich experience in interventional cardiology procedures and has performed approximately 8,000 angiographies and more than 3,000 angioplasties as primary operator. He also has extensive experience and expertise with permanent pacemaker implantation, AICD, PTMCs, ASD device closure, peripheral carotid and renal angioplasties, IVC filter, etc.
Prior to his current engagements, Dr. Anand Pandey worked as Associate Director, Clinical Administrator (Head of Department), Department of Cardiology, Max Super specialty Hospital, Patparganj, East Delhi from 2011 to 2020. He has also worked as Senior Interventional Cardiologist and Principal Consultant at Fortis Hospital in Noida from February 2006 to October 2011. Before this he was Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Metro Hospital and Heart Institute in Noida from November 1999 to February 2006. He was also associated with the KLE Hospital/JN Medical College in Belgaum as Assistant Cardiologist for two years.
Dr. Pandey helped in establishing non-invasive cardiac laboratories at several units in Allahabad, Meerut, Roorkee, Muzaffar Nagar, Saharanpur, Shamli, Faridabad, Baraut, and in other districts of western Uttar Pradesh. He was also instrumental in establishing an invasive cath lab (angiography and angioplasty programmes) at Metro Heart Institute (Meerut and Faridabad), Heart Line hospital (Allahabad), Brijlal Hospital (Haldwani) and KK Hospital (Aligarh). He is recognised for performing the first interventional procedure in eastern Uttar Pradesh and the Kumaon region in Uttarakhand.
