Dr. Basant Mahadevappa is a Liver Transplant and Hepato Pancreato Biliary Surgeon with experience of more than 12 years. He is a Member of the Liver Transplantation Society of India, American Society of Transplant Surgeons, International Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association, American Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association, International Liver Transplantation Society, American Transplant Society, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburg, and Association of Surgeons of India.
He completed his MBBS from J J M Medical College, Davengere in 2002, MS – General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College in 2006, and lastly MRCS (UK) from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSE), U.K in 2007. He is well-versed with laparoscopic liver resections and is trained to perform robotic surgeries.
He has expertise over the treatment of Liver Transplantation (Living and deceased donor), ALPPS procedure/surgery, Hilar cholangiocarcinomas & complex resections, Surgeries for benign liver and pancreatic conditions like Calculous pancreatic conditions, complications of pancreatitis, hepatic adenomas, hemangiomas, etc.
Dr. Mahadevappa has several publications in national and international journals and also attends seminars on a regular basis.
