Dr. N N Mathur has 40 years of experience in clinical, surgical, teaching, and research in ear, nose, throat, and head & neck surgery. He worked in some of the most reputed teaching and training institutes, including Maulana Azad Medical College; JIPMER; Lady Hardinge Medical College; BPKIHS, Nepal; VMMC; and Safdarjung Hospital. He also headed two medical colleges in Delhi —VMMC and LHMC as Director and Principal, respectively.
He is a graduate and postgraduate from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Dr. Mathur has undergone in-service training at various USA and UK institutes, particularly in pediatric otolaryngology and cochlear implants. He is a recipient of the Graham Fraser Fellowship in Cochlear Implants at Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, London; the Commonwealth fellowship in Paediatric Otolaryngology at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, London; ICMR fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Centre, Ohio and WHO fellowship at The House Ear Institute, Los Angeles.
Dr. Mathur has published several research papers, presented and participated in many national and international conferences, and chaired many scientific sessions. He has been the UG and PG examiner for 33 years in different universities and has organized several workshops and conferences.
His main areas of interest are pediatric otolaryngology, pediatric airway reconstructive surgery, surgery for vocal cord palsy, voice surgeries, cochlear implants, and pediatric ENT tumors like nasopharyngeal and angiofibroma. Dr. Mathur is also keen on tympanoplasty, tinnitus, vertigo therapy, skull base surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, and head & neck surgery. The ENT department at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, provides ENT services using the high-end, latest equipment and advanced technology.
