Dr. Ruquaya Ahmad Mir is a reputed Surgical Oncologist practicing successfully for more than 20 years. She is adept in performing surgical procedures for Head and Neck cancers, Lung and Esophageal cancers, major Gastro– Intestinal Malignancies, Breast and Gynecologic malignancies and Soft Tissue Sarcomas.
She also performs implantation and maintenance of long term vascular access devices. She possesses a special interest in breast cancer and gynaecologic gastro-intestinal malignancies. With special training in Robotic Surgery, she attempts to integrate minimally invasive surgery in surgical oncology.
She also performs some advanced surgical techniques such as Cytoreductive surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal chemotherapy for advanced colorectal and recurrent ovarian malignancies, Conservation of the breast for Cancer, Surgery for cancers of uterus and Ovary and Limb Conservation surgery for bone and soft tissue sarcomas for limbs.
The doctor is also involved in training postgraduate surgical students for DNB Surgery and DNB Surgical Oncology and nursing staff.
