Dr. Satyakam Baruah is a Neurosurgeon with 8+ years of experience. He completed his training from Montreal Neurological Institute Canada and basic Neurosurgery training from the prestigious NIMHANS. His areas of interest are Epilepsy Surgery, Neuroendoscopy, Robotics, Precision Excision of Brain and Spine Tumors in Eloquent Regions.
He has been awarded Prime Minister’s Guest Award on Republic Day Parade, New Delhi for Academic Excellence in MCh, Best Paper in Neurosurgery at the 64th Annual Conference of Neurological Society of India at Hyderabad, Shri J.B. Modi Best Paper Award in the 22nd Annual Conference of Neurotrauma Society of India in Guwahati, Simon Groom Travel Award by McGill University, Montreal, Canada and American Epilepsy Society Young Investigator Fellows Award for “The changing nature of Epilepsy: A review of practice profiles”.
He is a member of the Neurological Society of India, Associate Member Neurotrauma Society of India, Fellow World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery and Fellow American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
He completed MS from Guwahati Medical College, Guwahati, MCh in neurosurgery from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore and fellowship in Epilepsy Surgery from Montreal Neurological Institute.
