The tube connecting the throat and stomach is commonly called as our esophagus. The unchecked spread of cancerous cells in our esophagus is referred to as esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer starts in the innermost layer of our esophagus and can progress to additional esophageal segments as well as other body areas. Esophageal cancer comes in two different varieties:
Adenocarcinoma: This cancer begins in the lower glandular tissue present towards the stomach. In this lower portion of our esophagus, the esophagus and stomach can be seen together.
